Step 3: Do Something You’ve Never Done<\/h2>\n

If a short distant runner decides to become a marathon runner, will he stick to his 2-mile training plan?<\/p>\n

If a coffee shop owner wants to transition into fine dining, will she stick to her old marketing plan?<\/p>\n

If you want to become more efficient, will you keep checking your email every hour?<\/p>\n

If your company wants to turn global, if your bank wants to go paperless, if your restaurant<\/strong><\/a> wants to generate more money, if you want to create a new image… Will you stick to your old, stale <\/em>plan?<\/p>\n

Albert Einstein defined insanity as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting difference results.<\/p>\n

It’s really simple: if you want something you’ve never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You’re old plan got you here today, and today is wonderful! But at some point the Old Plan needs to be revised or completely transformed for bigger and better plans. Don’t let pride get in the way.<\/p>\n

It’s time for a New Plan, a plan with it’s own chances and thrills. Something new, fresh, risky.<\/p>\n

Let’s be honest: the most desirable things in life come when we take a calculated risk. Our family and friends said we were crazy – sheesh, we<\/em> thought we were crazy – but we did it, we were successful (or not) but we gave it our best shot and we have no regrets.<\/p>\n

Try something new today. This could be a new route to work, a new flavor of ice cream, a new sport, taking the initiative to introduce yourself to someone instead of following the lead.<\/p>\n
